The Tasty and The Toxic
As a general rule, anything that is "good" for you is good for your bird. However, there are some foods that are unhealthy for birds, and others that are toxic. While I've attempted to compile a list of "good" foods vs. "bad" foods, this list is NOT definitive by any stretch of the imagination; only a guideline for reference.

Fruits (only the fleshy part; not the seeds, pits, etc.)
Apples, Apricots, Bananas, Blackberries, Blueberries, Cherries, Grapes, Grapefruit, Guava, Mangos, Melons, Nectarines, Oranges, Papaya, Peaches, Pears, Persimmons, Plums, Raspberries, Strawberries (homegrown or organic)
Vegetables
Bean Sprouts, Beets, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts,
Cabbage,
Carrots,
Cauliflower,
Celery,
Corn,
Garlic (fresh, boiled or roasted)
Green beans,
Kale,
Lettuce,
Peas,
Potatoes (boiled or dry roasted),
Pumpkin (seeds are safe),
Spinach,
Squash,
Turnips,
Sweet Potato (baked or boiled),
Tomatoes,
Onions (fresh, boiled or roasted)
Breads and Grains
Brown rice, Bulgur wheat, Cheerios, Chex, Cornbread, whole wheat, oats, Pasta, pearl barley
Dairy (in small quantities)
Yogurt & fresh fruit, Low fat
cheese, eggs (scrambled or hard-boiled)
Nuts (in small quantities)
Almonds, Brazil, Cashews, Macademia, Pecans, Pistachios (undyed and unsalted),
Walnuts.
