The Amazon Roost

On Saturday evening we were excited to show off a very special place near our house. It's an Amazon parrot roost. I found this very special place almost a year ago and JoAnn and I visit it often mostly around full moon time. This is a special place where Amazon parrots come in the late afternoon hours just before dusk. They come in twos and by the dozens to flock overhead on power lines, signs and trees.   This photo was shot on Monday night because it was just to dark Saturday when they were there.
